Becca and Russell had an urban, Roaring 20’s themed wedding at UTEC in Lowell, Massachusetts. It was a rather cool, fall day, but that didn’t stop this awesome couple from doing their first look and photos outside.
The style at this wedding was one for the books. Despite the freezing cold, guests were invited to show up in their best 1920’s themed attire and they certainly didn’t disappoint! The lovely bride wore a gorgeous unconventional pink wedding dress with a fur shawl, definitely necessary for a cool, fall wedding! The bridesmaids each wore different flapper-esque dresses complete with sequin and feathers. It all came together so nicely, I love how all the different dresses worked so well together!
Becca and Russell both incorporated their Italian and Haitian cultures into their wedding. They each brought with them a flag, one Italian flag and one Haitian flag, to incorporate into their video and photos. We found this to be such a unique way to honor their cultures, and super fun to shoot! Another highlight of their wedding was the food...they had some of the best wedding food we’ve had! The catering was done by Russell’s sister and included the best combination of Haitian and Italian cuisine. In lieu of a wedding cake, the couple decided to cut and feed each other pie! They even had a variety of different mini pies for their guests to enjoy. Speaking of guests, they certainly knew how to get down on the dance floor! We loved capturing everyone dancing in their 1920’s attire. It was almost like we were sent back in time! And did I mention the couple’s first dance?! Becca is a professional dancer, so it was no surprise that their first dance was a choreographed masterpiece!
